February 2026

The month started with a visit to the Kunstpalast. There was an exhibition going on about smells called “Die geheime Macht der Düfte”. There were dedicated rooms as well as exhibits among the permanent collection.

For the most part you lifted those glass things and smelled what was trapped there.

We had Spaceburger afterwards.

I then played my first gig with Brutal Unrest. It was the band’s reunion gig at the Musikbunker in Aachen. I posted a video of one song on my blog.

Was nice to meet Lohm again and see him live with Blastard.

At Elfi’s birthday lunch.

And then Laurenz and I went to see the exhibits of the students of the Kunstakademie at their yearly “Rundgang”.

Ist das Kunst, oder kann das weg?

This was a very fun picture to take.

Hab ich Saufi gehört?

Ja, du hast Saufi gehört!

This year, Zoe and I went to the kid’s carneval with her school class. We were part of the procession, throwing and giving out sweets to all the spectators. Quite an interesting experience.

On the carneval weekend, there was a matinee metal show at the Pitcher with Down in Embers and Signs of Wear.

Rosenmontag was next. Went to Ratingen, as usual.

And those guys were very impressive!

One more thing: Zoe and I went to the kid’s night of the museums.
